SaySo.ie Ambassador

Are you great for finding those hidden gems of places to go and shop?

Do you love telling your friends about good and bad businesses to visit?

Do you like to talk, write and Tweet/Facebook about places you have been to?

Are you an energetic, outgoing, passionate people person?

Are you opinionated? Fancy yourself as the next Paolo Tullio?

If so…

SaySo.ie has the role for you! Say what you like. Share what you say.

We believe that everyone should know about a really good thing. So we created SaySo.ie- a website that helps you discover places and services that people in your area love. You can exchange your experiences (by reviewing, commenting, sharing) with others, and meet people who love the same things you do.

We are looking for highly talented, fun loving people who like to work hard and play harder to become part of our SaySo.ie brand ambassador team. We are seeking ambassadors of all ages, from all walks of life throughout the country.

The role is very simple; we are looking for people to write guides on SaySo.ie. Guides are a collection of at least 2 places from different categories that you like to visit, shop in or dine in etc.

Simply tell us about these places and write a short description of them and share over your social network. It’s that easy.

Of course it goes without saying that Guides should be impartial and no profanities allowed, we seek genuine authentic and helpful guides. SaySo.ie is a site where you can discover some of your city or town’s best-kept secrets and exchange your local knowledge with like-minded people. It’s about having fun, sharing great experiences and learning from your friends. This is a site where your opinions matter so to be fair to everyone who uses the site it’s important that we all respect a few basic guidelines, we will share these with you.

So here’s what you have to do…

Each month you will need to write 10 guides, include a picture of the place and share over your social network and get €50 straight into your hand!

If you and your friends are interested please send us an email to catherine@sayso.ie and share this great opportunity with your friends and family as well on your social media platforms.

The number of places are limited so please be sure to send us your details and not miss out on this exciting opportunity.

Thank you from SaySo.ie

Augmented Reality

Those nice folks over at goldenpages.ie have done it again. Not only do they offer great new media advertising products but they also run super cutting edge campaigns themselves!

Their latest campaign an AR game offers an exciting baloon popping game for all the family.

To play you will need to download the goldenpages.ie app for iPhone or Android (some lower end devices will not support this but Android Market will redirect you to the AR reader Junaio app instead so you won’t loose out! – clever) and a copy of the goldenpages.ie print directory – the 2011/2012 edition.

You simply open the app, press the AR button and hold your phone over the front cover of the book.

The middle image (houses, landscape, trees) unlocks the baloon game, the Imagine WiMax banner some V. funky AR in the form of a floating interractive island and the upper corner reveals a customer video!

There is a world of difference from this Directory and the old Golden Pages- it’s very exciting. I also found some AR ads throughout the book too, they carried an AR motif on them.

There are instructions on the back of the goldenpages.ie directory (inside) and the goldenpages.ie blog has lots of information too (tonnes actually).

Thumbs up goldenpages.ie – we’re impressed! – Plus we won some cool discount vouchers for SuperMac’s, Dublin Zoo, The National Wax Museum and Aviva Stadium Tour so we’re happy – always good in January!

Getting married too?

Getting married is the latest trendy thing to do. Kate and William have set the example and the lucky couple of the Gold Wedding will soon follow. But how about you? Have you thought about popping the big question yet?

There’s a lot of preparation needed for a perfect wedding. Obviously, wedding rings are one of the most important details. Ravey_Davey highly recommends Michael Wall Creations Sapphire was massive, it would have cost so much more from other places. Got Certs and Valuation. Top Class. Great Guy”

Your big wedding party needs to find an unforgettable location.
MaryG hasn’t forgotten the Grand Hotel Malahide in Dublin “We were at a wedding here and it was such a beautiful setting. The view from our room was amazing. The food they served was unbelievable.”

DKM got married in Dromoland Castle Estate and is still blown away by the friendliness of the staff “The staff are flawless and the attention to detail is second to none.”

You’ll find more than enough inspiration for your perfect wedding on SaySo. Now all you need to do is to find that special person. SaySo won’t be able to help you with that though!

Gifts for Mother’s Day

Classics
You can’t go far wrong with a wood full of fragrant spring flowers or a gift box bulging with real pralines. These “classics” are always a great excuse for you not to look any further for that special gift – especially if you have (honestly!) forgotten Mother’s Day for the first time. And there are plenty of variations on the classics to choose from, too.

Gift shops
Gift shops have grown tremendously in popularity over the past few years. You’ll find them filled with a whole range of charming, fun little presents that are just right for Mother’s Day. But they aren’t really the place for serious gifts with deep, meaningful value. Light-hearted, humorous gifts are the order of the day here.

So, where do you go to buy your gifts for Mother’s Day? Do tell us. Find the place at SaySo and tell us whether it was worth the effort.

SaySo for Android… available now!

After the succesful launch of our iPhone App in September we’re proud to present the SaySo Android Application. Everyone will be able to read, write and share reviews on SaySo wherever you are.

What’s in it for me?
Find a restaurant, bar, shop, or other businesses on the spot. Read what others are saying about the place. Upload pictures and write reviews.

Do you have an Android device? Download the app and tell us what you think!

Here are some pictures of the app:

You can always visit our Sayso mobile page, of course!

Review Widget Magic

We recently added a neat new feature to the site. For all those of you who have your own blog or website this could be of interest to you – a review widget for all your activities on SaySo.ie.

It’s really simple too – make sure you are logged into SaySo then go to the review widget page where you will find the code to copy and paste into your blog/website.

You just need to answer 3 simple questions to shape your widget – preview it then and there.  You can copy and paste it directly or get us to email the code to you!
