and the winner is...

As I wrote about previously we were a sponsor at the recent Smedia Awards. We were sponsoring two categories, Website of the Year, won by Queens University for www.qubsu.org and the new category Blog of the Year, won by  www.tallyman.ie.

A great night was had by all at The Mansion House(great venue, giant circular room). Have a look over on flickr for some photos of our night at the Smedia’s, we were lucky enough to get snapped with Kathryn and Daithí, the pair were in flying form on stage I must say, they weren’t going to let the place go without a bit of cheeky fun that’s for sure.

Sam Sara across the road was packed for the after-party as well, people were in great spirits after a great night, I hear there was plenty partying late into the night also.

Also we ran a competition for the Smedia attendees to win a netbook, all they had to do was write a review over the last week to be in the draw. So I printed out all the names(one for each time they wrote a review) bundled them into my truvo tin, got an independent adjudicator to pick out the winner and viola!
